Pours black with a finger of tan head. Aroma is earthy, roasty, and toasty malts with coffee layered over the top. It's mild and tempered in strength, each note hitting evenly. Flavor profile is roasty and toasty malts, with bread and coffee. Notes are more prominent in the flavor profile than the nose, with the coffee accenting the finish. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a lightly creamy texture. Overall, a solid ale that leans on malts and coffee for plain subtlety.

On tap. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, tan head of foam. It smelled of roasted malt, coffee and dark chocolate. Nice sweet chocolate, toffee and roasted malt taste.
