Pours a clear burgundy with a finger of tan foam. Aroma is big earthy and bready malts. Coffee tacks onto the bitterness level. The storyline in the nose is malts. Flavor profile is earthy, bready, and caramely malts, with coffee winched into the crevices. The nose is a little choppy, with the flavor profile transitioning more smoothly between notes. Mouth feel has a faint creaminess that is broken up by a fine grittiness. Thickness is medium. Overall, it uses malts well to create a smooth base, with the addition of coffee adding another level of flavor.
