i assume that this is the entry that the Black River Irish Stout goes under.
a: black/brown dark opaque body with light lacing left by the creamy tan head
s: almost scentless in my opinion; light toffee malts and some milkiness; maybe a hint of coffee
t: burnt raw wheat w/ strong roasted coffee and hints of terra firma; whole milk and dark chocolate are also present
m: very creamy and smooth w/ a thick body that isn't too heavy
d: a good solid respectable milk stout

Very good, very dark Irish stout. Black black black. Even with forced NO2, there's still a light carbonation. Served with a big head that takes no time collapsing under itself, but it leaves a huge ring of lace with every sip. Excellent dryness and roasted flavor, combined with a hard-water mouthfeel. Ver mild, yet present, bitterness and burnt flavor. Finishes slightly sour, yet nowhere near Guinness sour. Very drinkable, and an excellent session ale. Nothing that re-defines the style, but rather a solid, no-frills interpretation with it's own personality. Cheers!
