On tap at the brewery. Not very white for a wit, this one poured looking like a lager that flocculated but wasn't filtered; leaves me wondering what the hefe looks like. That's for a later day.
Smell/flavor are also similar to a lager, like a lightly hopped pils that hasn't been through the DE filter yet. It's one step away from clear beer. More German lager characteristics in the nose. In fact, this could almost be mistaken for unfiltered, fresh-from-the-tanks Budweiser (not a stab, actually kind of a compliment). It just doesn't seem much like a wit, but it is a very good beer. Slightly tangy lemon notes, and light-bodied, but it's hard to detect the wheat malts.
There are much better versions of the witbier style out there, but this is a good beer in it's own right. Unfortunately for the beer, I reviewed it according to it's style guidelines. It's very good and refreshing and worth a try, but purists beware. Cheers!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
