On tap at River City on 7/15/09.

A - Clear medium amber body with one finger of frothy off-white head that retained very well and left moderate lace around the glass.

S - Sweet malts with a spicy, bready quality and plenty of caramel and toffee notes. Hops are subtle with floral and perfumy traits.

T - Sweet caramel and pale malts paired with a subtle floral hop character and some mild perfumy notes. Overall, the flavor is caramel-forward with hints of toffee and bread. Finishes with a slight hop bitterness.

M - Medium bodied with a syrupy texture and fairly soft carbonation that provides subtle tongue bristle. Sweet on the palate with minimal hop bitterness.

D - Pretty spot-on for the style, though perhaps a tad too sweet overall. Regardless, I found this lager to be pretty tasty and easy to drink.

This a fairly good vienna if not great. It's light and smooth, simple and fairly standard, but still fairly flavourful and drinkable.

Light brownish/copper amber, it has a smallish off-white head that is creamy and shrinks only slowly, leaving a little bit of lace.

The aroma is like a vienna, caramelly-toasty grain with hints of damp bread, light green grass and green leaves with hints of yeasty bread. It's pleasant and has some character, but it's a bit too muted and is on the simpler side.

The taste is slightly sweet with a little hop flavour and bitterness to balance. It has green apples, grass, light sourdough yeastiness, light caramelly-toasty grain which is stronger in the finish, hint of damp earth. Muted and fairly simple, it has some well-roundedness and some gentle hints of character. It is pretty drinkable.
