Poured from 500mL bottle into my Belvárosi sörfesztivál tulip. Best by 1/11/25.
Appearance: rich, very dark brown hue, which lets no light through the body. Head is a thick finger of creamy tan foam. Very nice!
Smell: sweet aroma with a nice roastiness and some dark fruit character in there. There's also a bit of soy sauce or oxidation or something ... not a ton, but it does detract from the experience for me.
Taste: sweet, like the aroma, with a kind of pastry-like creamy thing going on, like crème brûlée or something. There's also some toffee like character in there; overall not bad (and that soy sauce from the aroma is thankfully not present), but it is kinda too sweet for my taste.
Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a good carbonation and a nice creaminess.
Overall: sweeter than the style should be, I think, but nevertheless a pretty good beer.

On tap. Dark brown color, white head, malty aroma of caramel, chocolate, licorice, coffee, medium bitterness, medium sweetness, medium body.
