Copenhagen 21/12 2022. 44 cl can from Kihoskh, Sønder Boulevard, Kbh. V. Pale green can with a Dragonfly.
Pours unclear - almost hazy - pale yellow with a mid-sized white head. Settles s thin, almost transparent layer for foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a fresh zesty odor mingling with a bit of sweet stone fruits. Sweet peach and mango. Nectarines, grapefruit and a bit of citrus.
Medium strong carbonation. Thin, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intensewith a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and a tad watery. Lingers for a bit. Finish is rather dry.
Nice and dry - If somewhat thin.

Pours a cloudy, pale orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of doughy, biscuity malt and citrus, tropical hops, with notes of grapefruit, lime peel and mango, as well as just a hint of pine. Taste is a great balance of doughy, biscuity malt and fruity, slightly grassy, herbal, dank and resinous hops, with citrus and tropical notes of grapefruit, lime peel, mango and papaya, as well as just a hint of pine and grassy weed. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some grapefruit, lime peel, mango and grassy weed lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This makes for a pretty nice Pale Ale with a good mix of fruity and herbal, dank and resinous hops. Quite heavy on the citrus notes feeling rather zesty and tangy, with some accents of dank weed and resinous pine. Some grassy undertones, feeling just a tad chalky as well, but really not too bad. Rather easy-drinking and refreshing, but perhaps just a tad light-bodied.

Half Pint on keg in Pamona Island at Freight Island, Manchester (£3.50):
Pale golden & hazy with a thin white lacing across the top. The nose is dank, pungent & strong with citrus, mango, pine & some lively tropical notes. The mouthfeel is lively & tangy too, lots of citrus & dank, overripe fruits with the taste but well balanced. Really nice.

440 ml can, as Pomona Island Phaedra Pale, from Vinmonopolet (probably Nettbutikken). ABV is 5.3%. Hazy yellow colour, large white head. Pleasant aroma of tropical fruits and citrus. Refreshing flavour, citrus and tropical fruits again, but not too sweet. Hints of sprucetips. Low bitterness. Fairly light bodied.
