I don’t know what’s worse, getting blown up in a nuclear war or drinking a West Coast IPA with Cryo Simcoe, Magnum, Crystal, Citra & Centennial.

Pours a cloudy, deep, dark amber coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity, caramel malt and citrus, resinous hops, with notes of grapefruit and pine. Taste is an excellent balance of biscuity, caramel malt and fruity, resinous, slightly herbal, earthy and spicy hops, with citrus and lighter tropical notes of grapefruit, lime peel, pineapple and mango, as well as some pine and black pepper. Finishes with a medium/strong bitterness and some grapefruit, pine and herbal accents lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This makes for a very nice, old school West Coast IPA that is quite bitter and resinous, with a solid caramel malt backbone as well and some fruity, herbal and spicy notes that are very well balanced here. It's so rare to find a proper WCIPA like this these days and I really enjoyed it a lot. The balance of sweet caramel malt and bitter, resinous hops is great here, with some vibrant fruity notes, while I quite liked those herbal and spicy accents as well.
