Copenhagen 8/1 2022. 44 cl can from Mikkeller webshop. Deep red can with a simple drawing of a hand holding a coin balancing on a pile of numbered coins.
Pours murky burgundy with a big pink head. Stable. Settles as thin layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with sweet forest berries mingling with their more sour and citric cousins. Blackberries, currants and raspberries. Tart gooseberries and a touch of lemon.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger tart sourness. Aftertaste is berry sweet with a sour undertone. Lingers for a while into a dry finish.
Quite the berry bomb. But fresh, well balanced and quote delightful,
