Copenhagen 3/7 2020. 75 cl bottle from Mikkeller web-shop. Cartoonish drawing of woman with long brown hair on the label. Very micro-brew-ish with the signature of the brewmaster Jessica Andersen and the information that I am drinking bottle # 82 out of 1.092.
Pours murky, opaque, dark brown with a medium-sized light beige head. Fairly stable. Settles as 1 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a medium strong, sweet maltiness with a stronger sour, odor rummaging in the background. Sweet caramel, cherries and dark chocolate. Green apples and unripe gooseberries. Not much wood and barrel in there.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, watery, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a light sweetness followed by a strong sourness. Aftertaste is sour with a sweet undercurrent. Finish is dry and vinegary.
The sweet base fits snugly with the tart, dry, vinous aftertaste. Fine sour ale from Tejn.
