A 16 ounce draft pour into a Willi Becher glass at the brewery.
Look- Straw, very hazy, white sudsy head, slightly above average head retention, above average lacing.
Smell- Grapefruit, slight white grape, between weak and medium strength of scent.
Taste- Grapefruit, slight pine, slight white grape, between weak and medium strength of flavor.
Feel- Medium body, average carbonation, no astringency, moderately creamy, mildly dry finish, mildly mouth warming, soft.
Overall- This was a well made beer from an appearance and mouthfeel standpoint. The biggest problem was the lack of intensity of the aromatics and flavor. Also, both aroma and flavor were very simple with grapefruit dominating and nothing else really balancing the citrus. I would consider this beer slightly below average for the style.
