Served in a willibecher at a restaurant in Bar Harbor. Pours an orange copper, no head, no lacing, etc. here’s what this doesn’t have that I often look for in a fest: a little sweet edge, maybe honey; a light hoppy liveliness; a little autumnal spice. All the same, this does have a lot of nice earthy malts and orchard fruits.

Surprisingly satisfying and tasty given the strength and style. It looks thin but it tastes big, with notes of white bread, yeast, and fresh lemons. A lovely beer for standing in a field on a hot day.

A: This beer has a deep golden color. The beer is clear as most lagers are. The head is white and it stays around for quite a bit.
S: You can smell baked bread and floral scents from the hops in the aroma.
T: The taste is malt-forward. Honey sweetness and baked bread are present in the flavor.
MF: Light to medium bodied. This is a beer that can be enjoyed by the liter.
O: Excellent festbier. One of my favorites every season.
