CAN
Hazy pale amber that pours high; resin + citrus oil but some vegetal, too; slight wafer, then sugared grapefruit, light grass, and white melon; flat + oily.

Not as flawed as Cloud Piercer; just thin, underhopped, undercarbed, and kinda lifeless. Couldn’t guess what US hops these might be. This is a bad brewery.

A 330ml can with a BB of July 2019. Purchased recently from Trembling Madness in York. The label describes it as an APA with notes of citrus fruits and pine.

A: Poured into a tulip. Can-conditioned. A deep, hazy amber hue with intense carbonation and fine suspended sediment. Yields a vast head of fluffy white foam that lasts for ages before slowly reducing to a persistent surface layer. Some lacing.

S: Aroma of rich resinous pine with hints of weed, citrus peel, mild grapefruit, subtle tropical fruit, leafiness, caramel malt, ale yeast and earthiness. Very nice.

T: Tastes of zealously aromatic resin with notes of pine, dank weed, citrus peel, grapefruit, mild tropical fruit, leafiness, caramel malt, grain, earthiness and ale yeast. Pretty dry, followed by a robust hop-driven bitterness upon swallowing.

M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with spritzy carbonation and good body. Quite astringent; hop oils stimulate the palate. Aftertaste of bitter pine resin, weed, citrus peel, leafiness, caramel malt, earthiness and ale yeast.

O: A solidly crafted APA with serious bitterness. Looks great, while the aroma and flavour are replete with resinous hops underpinned by caramel malt and ale yeast. Nice body. Very drinkable - goes down a treat. Well worth sampling if you love hops.
