L- Pale yellow/gold, clear, pours with 1Cm snow white head.
S- Very mild indeed. Just a mild but quite 'bright lager smell'.
T- Mild grains, the 'carbonic' dry note from the CO2 comes over, a parallel of how it does in soda water. Then there is a modest hoppy flourish into the finish.
F- Low key, somewhat dry and hoppy. Might provide an element of refreshment on a hot summers day ps. This August day it's 16C and been raining all day...
O- Click the link 'Style: Lager-Helles' above to see the style notes. This beer is pale, but I don't find it 'rounder or fuller bodied'. I also haven't noted any distinctive aspects to it; it's all a but anonymous to me. Hence too £ to merit buying again.
Bought from Real Ale, London W9 £2.50/330ml crafty-can decorated with an image of the Trellick Tower from Golborne Road (the very top end of Portobello Road market).
ps. I now see as per the lable this is an exclusive brew for Real Ale, pitched at the branch on Golborne Road. Though this can was bought at their nearby Formasa Street, W9 branch. ... curious how a short crescent in W9 was named after Formosa, ie. modern day Taiwan.
