Having this beer on-tap at the brewery. Served in a pint glass, this beer draws a dark copper/amber color with a nice, white head that’s about an inch thick when first drawn and served. Settles eventually to a thick ring lining the inside of the glass along with some small clusters swirl of foam on the beer’s surface. Bits of lacing here and there on the inside of the glass as well. Aromas of toasted, biscuity malts along with some caramel sweetness and some earthy, floral hop notes. The flavor profile is pretty much the same, with toasted, biscuity, caramel malt sweetness, and a moderate amount earthy and slightly floral hop bitterness. The flavor profile seems pretty spot on for the style to me. Has a crisp, yet smooth, medium to full bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish with a slightly dry aftertaste.
