Bottle purchased in Moscow.
Frankly, I was pleased to find a Russian-made beer that breaks away from the "Pale Lager-Pilsner-Special-Export" spiral. This has a thin head, looks more like a Killians than a dunkel, but it has a decently caramel malt taste, and the first hop note Ive found in this whole blessed country! So Ill call it a little more than an OK. Its taste even makes itself known after the Baltika 9 Malt Liquor I had beforehand.

Comes in a tall, thin, long neck brown half liter bottle with a basically plain label featuring lettering over a spiral hurricane-like design. Ingredients include rice. Best before 2/5/04, I opened it on 11/6/03.
Pours a quite attractive clear copper red under a fairly substantial off-white head that settles to about one cm but then sticks around quite a while and leaves some lace. The nose is mild, with just a touch of malt. The mouth is prickly and fairly light. There's a crisp malty taste with just a touch of citrus sweet/sour. The hoppy bite is fairly substantial, but a bit harsh and metallic. The aftertaste smoothes out those rough edges, leaving a nice mix of bitter and malty sweetness. Easily the best product in the Klinskoye line, this beer is perfectly drinkable.
