Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a fine, one finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, citrus and dank hops, grapefruit, mild grassiness and light stone fruit. Flavor is pale malt with slight caramel, muddled hops, astringent pine, lemon and grapefruit rind. Citrus rind finish. Medium bodied with light creaminess. This has an enticing aroma and good assertive hop bitterness, but the herbal qualities of the hops are undifferentiated. West Coast IPA notes of pine and citrus are present, but blurry. Good alpha bitterness in the finish. An OK, but not exciting IPA.
