Pours an opaque orange with two fingers of dense, white foam. Head retention is good. Aroma is orange, tangerine, papaya, lemon zest and grassy hops. It has a little residual stick on the backend. Flavor profile is a bit off, but features notes of tropical fruits and domestic citrus along the way. It has a little bit of a citrusy cleaner vibe to it. Herbal and dank hops add a little stickiness on the backend, and linger for a long while. Mouth feel is fuzzy and frilly, with a plush, moderately soft effervescence. Overall, drives some good notes, but doesn't bring them all the way around.

CAN from a 4 pack...I think it was $13.99? 16 fl oz standard pull-tab format with a blue and purple label.
6.5% ABV. "India Pale Ale." No mention of hop regimen appears on the label.
APPEARANCE: Pours a hazy orange body with a frothy white head atop.
AROMA: Yogurty, seeming to indicate Simcoe was utilized. Pale malt. Maybe soft malted wheat. Floral hop aromatics.
Not yeasty or overtly boozy. A pleasant aroma of mild strength.
TASTE: Matches the aroma, emphasizing yogurty hops in addition to fruit creamsicle/orange creamsicle without hitting on sharp citrusy twang or zesty notes.
Not an India Odwalla Ale per se, but more assertive bitterness would certainly help it.
Balanced but lacking in terms of depth of hop flavour and concomitant hop bitterness. I don't find the hop profile all that interesting especially given the contemporary IPA landscape, but it's a pleasant beer albeit a simple and shallow one.
TEXTURE: Coating, smooth, wet, creamy. Not chewy, thick, hot, boozy, or oily. Has a pleasant and approachable overall feel, but it doesn't exactly accentuate specific flavours. Its softness and creaminess are stand-out characteristics.
OVERALL: Very drinkable but not an assertive or hop-emphatic IPA - and isn't the point of an IPA to showcase hop flavour? This has the hop pungency of a paIe ale brewed in 2008. Iwouldn't pay the outrageous price for this again, but I tip my hat to them for cashing in on the haze craze.
