this is good not great, kind of where i have landed on most of the boss rambler stuff so far since they have been selling in idaho. this one is more unfiltered looking than objectively cloudy, and the bitterness is pretty low too, yet its also got this dankness and heavy saturation, sort of a hybrid then with both east and west coast style elements. i like the lightness of the body for what it is, and i like the fruitiness of the hop complexion, ranging from ripe honeydew to meyer lemon to herbal like fresh flowers. the dank aspect to me is more weed than pine, not so aggressively northwestern, but still sort of sticky and woodsy too, and all somehow light for having a lot of flavor, which might be the best feature of this. its a touch on the sweet side in nose and taste, also smells and tastes just a little like the line, like maybe this sat a bit before it was poured, need to try it from the can too then to compare. the frothy head and high carbonation is nice here, makes it feel alive, but it also has a faint metallic thing at the end which sort of cancels that. the hops have a little greenness but they arent harsh or overdone, and it warms up to tangerine, papaya, and mango, quite tropical. this doesnt distinguish itself from other good ipa in its class, but i like it doing so many things while remaining real drinkable. still waiting for a mind bender from these guys, but this is more than serviceable.
