16oz can from Hops & Bottles. Golden pour, light fog, fizzy head. Fruity aroma, tropical, stone fruit, honeydew. Something slightly off. Taste is the same, fruity, but not ones that seem to blend, like each one fighting to be the star of the show. Dry finish, doesn't quite come together for me.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a half finger white head that dissipates to a thick cap with nice lacing. Aroma of lightly caramel malt, citrus and fruit hops, orange, mixed stone fruit and hint of pine. Flavor is caramel malt, citrus and fruit hops, grapefruit, green grapes, pine, a touch of diacetyl; solid but somewhat astringent bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. I like WC IPAs with caramel malt, and this has that nice character. The hops are kinda all over the place, Citra and Southern Hemisphere, definitely but with low herbal hop flavors. I think this can might have a little age on it and that might affect the hop brightness. An overall solid WC style IPA of the hybrid mixed fruit/citrus style; a little pine resin in the finish, but it's a bit asperiny. Satisfactory, but muddled. Giving a little point boost for the malt; lighter pale malts are dominating this style now and I miss caramel character.
