Deep brown with ruby highlights. Biscuity aroma with hints of fruity esters. Medium roastiness with caramel and toffee notes. Hops take a back seat to the malt on this one.

5 oz pour at the brewery. Served in a straight-sided taster glass. Pours an opaque near-black with a tan head. Aroma and flavor feature dark roasted malt, black coffee, dark fruit, bittersweet chocolate, earthy hops, and a hint of vanilla. Mouthfeel is full and creamy. This was my favorite beer out of 10 sampled.
