An anniversary brew to commemorate 2.5 years.
Appearance - Pours a hazy apricot gold with four fingers of frothy white head.
Smell - citrus and tropical hops, tangerine, lactose sweetness, creamsickle ice cream aromas, orange, bready malts, and earthy yeast.
Taste - citrus and tropical hops upfront. The brew then goes into the tangerine, lactose sweetness, orange, and creamy tangerine (creamsickle) notes. The bready malts and earthy yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes slightly sour with the hops lingering.
Overall - A unique take on the New England IPA style by remaking the creamsicle ice cream treat we all enjoyed as kids. Its been quite some time since I've sampled a creamsicle and this one takes me back. A pleasant treat and a worthy anniversary brew. Keep up the creativity Born Colorado!
