Appearance - Pours a pale straw gold with two fingers of effervescent white head. Clear clarity.
Smell - Sour tropical fruit (definitely pineapple and guava), tart citrus (lemon, lime), orange peel, biscuity malts, touch of grass, fruity esters.
Taste - Tart tropical and citrus fruits as mentioned above, followed along with biscuity wheat malt and straw. Sourness is not too mouth puckering.
Mouthfeel - Light-to-medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Dry finish on the palate.
Overall - A sour Berliner Weisse that is refreshing and deliver the fruit flavour without it being a total punch to the mouth (or gut - some of the sour beers out there are SO sour, I feel like I'll get a stomach ache). This would be great in the summertime on a patio.
