A rich and robust porter. Bold java inspired aromas of espresso and dark chocolate will have you questioning whether you left the percolator on this morning. Brewed using Calgary Heritage Roasting Co. Burnt Timber blend.

A coffee porter.
Appearance - Pours a dark chocolate brown with three fingers of frothy mocha tan head.
Smell - earthy, leafy, and floral hops, strong coffee bean, cocoa, dark chocolate, roasted malts, dark fruits, and earthy yeast.
Taste - earthy, leafy, and floral hops upfront. Then it goes into the strong coffee bean notes. The cocoa, dark chocolate, roasted malts, and hint of dark fruits come through next. The earthy yeast rounds out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes smooth and roasty. The ABV is well hidden in this one.
Overall - A dangerously smooth and easy drinking coffee porter from Born. The coffee bean takes precedence and is quite smooth for a porter. This one is borderline stout but nonetheless an enjoyable brew.
