500ml bottle from the Lake District:
A clear, medium amber with a 1cm, foamy white head that holds well initially. The nose is bitter with biscuit & pale malts, some bread notes then a touch of caramel sweetness at the end which wasn't too bad. It definitely seems more basic tasting with the bitterness more pronounced too, I got some earthy flavours & some caramel malts followed by a slightly floral feel but there wasn't too much complexity really. The body was somewhere around light-medium & it felt quite grainy with moderate carbonation; a fairly poor beer overall though.
