16oz canned 8-3-23, opened 9-22-23.
1 finger sand colored head with decent retention, ends up as a sparse but lasting thin cap.
Mahogany body with dark brown edges. Light lacing.
Roasty malt, coffee, molasses, earthy - descriptors are valid for both the aroma and flavor, complex, tasty, balanced beer with high drinkability.
Light body and low to medium carbonation with a creamy mouthfeel. Medium length finish with just a touch of sweetness. Well made and a nice surprise.
Very Good.

Appearance - The beer was black in appearance with a white head crowning a pour.
Smell - The roasted malts were apparent in the nose. There was also a touch of sweetness.
Taste - The profile began with rich dark malts. The longer east provided a smooth, almost creamy feel. If prevented the bitterness from overwhelming the profile. The bitterness shined just a little extra in the finish.
Mouthfeel - Though it was a little thin for the style, the body had texture from the lager yeast. The carbonation was smooth.
Overall - Cowtown seems to have a great lager games.
