On a cute side street in downtown Dover, the Empty Pint has about four outside tables and a cozy area inside. It is a nice looking place, but we didn’t venture inside. As this is pandemic, we sat at an outside table.
Service was top notch, our waiter was friendly and engaging. They had food but it was very basic, chips and a simple cheese plate. We didn’t try any food but still nice they had some snacks.
We had a couple of beers and I would describe them as well brewed, clean, but not great examples of their styles. The double IPA finished very sweet, the brut IPA I think lacked carbonation, and the NE style IPA was really not a NE style IPA which I found a bit confusing. Perhaps they just feel the market pressure for having the style on tap.
I really enjoyed the visit, liked the place, I would go back, but I hope the beer quality improves over time.
