Pours a hazy, deep orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and tropical, citrus hops, with notes of passion fruit and orange, as well as strong white grape characteristics. Taste is an excellent balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy hops, with tropical and citrus notes of passion fruit, pineapple, papaya, orange and lime peel, as well as a strong presence of white grapes. Finishes with a light bitterness and some passion fruit, orange and white grape lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.

When I first smelled and tasted this, I was sure that it must contain Nelson Sauvin hops, until I learned that it instead contains an extract of actual Sauvignon Blanc grapes called Phantasm, which I first though was a hop variety I've never heard of before. I have to say, the effect is fascinating, Nelson Sauvin hops have always been one of my favorite varieties and Phantasm just turns that character up to eleven, while still allowing the citrus and tropical hops to shine through as well, while leaving a certain, slightly acidic white grape character in the aftertaste. I#m usually not even a huge fan of those purely fruity NEIPAs and prefer a bit of a dank or resinous edge to them, but this is so well done that it doesn't even bother me and that at just over 3 months old. Was this even better at 2 months old? Maybe, but it's still fantastic now, which is proof to me once again that NEIPAs don't need to fall off early if brewed right.

Poured into 13 oz tulip glass canned on 9/14/22. Pours a very attractive orange yellow with a 2 finger sticky white head that leaves thin streaks of lace, with excellent retention. 4.5

Aroma is mango, peach, tangerine, pineapple, and apricot pretty darn impressive. 4.75

Taste follows mango, peach, tangerine, pineapple, and apricot big tropical flavor and low bitterness. 4.75

Mouthfeel is above average, soft gentle carbonation, not sticky or dry, and at 8% really easy going down. 4.5

Overall this brewery just keeps killing this style, consistently brewing amazing NEDIPAs. I obviously am a fan. 4.5
