One-finger starting beige head but it settles rapidly to no bubbles (not even along the rim). No resulting lace. The liquid is deep, dark brown where I detect a modicum light on the most extreme edge.
Plenty of milk chocolate aroma. It's like a cooled (hot) cocoa with marshmallows. Faint alcohol initially, I don't notice it later in the tasting.
Sweet, but not overly so. The body is predictably rich but the carbonation is elevated for balance. This is surprising given the complete loss of the head. Strong chocolate flavor, but no notable burnt patent malt--the flavor is reminiscent of a sweeter Porter. Still, this is a flavorful and easily drinkable beer.
