Thanks to Harrison8 for this one. 12oz can poured into 14oz teku. Poured a solid black color, with just a thin cap of tan head that dissipated quickly and left just the barest trace of lacing.
A rich roasted aroma came from the can. Upon pouring, the earthy base malts made their presence known. Very similar on the tongue, lots of roast and malt, but no real oyster, or sea, aspect.
The body was more like a porter, and not what I look for in a stout. Drinkability was good, smooth and easy. Overall, a solid brew that just lacked a bit of personality. Worth a shot if you see it.

Pours black with nearly two fingers of khaki foamy head. Head retention is good with no lacing. Aroma is roasty, toasty, nutty, caramel malts with a little oyster, salt, and toffee. It comes across as dark, but not robust. Flavor profile is roasty, toasty, nutty, caramely malts with a little oyster and toffee at the finish. Oyster lingers on the tongue, being the last glimpse of the flavor profile. It comes off dark, but well rounded and controlled, and then melds into a lightly sweet portion before the final oyster lingering. Together, that shapes a dynamic profile for a low ABV stout. Mouth feel is medium-thin with a light velvety, creaminess. It has a nice body and presence for such a low gravity stout. Overall, splendid beer that proves well rounded. Dark notes are abundant, but aren't harsh or controlling. It makes for a lovely sipper.
Served in a 12oz snifter from a 12oz can. Canned from tap line 11/17, stored chilled until served chilled on 11/29.
