Pours a dark copper with a finger of white foam. Head retention dissipates quickly from the can, but retains well out of the tap. Aroma is a smack of dessert-like notes, with banana, vanilla bean, lactose, syrup, molasses and fried butter forming a dessert for the nose. It smells dense and more of a hearty-sweet than a sugary sweet. It masks the alcohol content well. Flavor profile is banana, tangerine, vanilla bean, lactose, maple syrup, molasses and fried butter through and through. Notes of banana and vanilla bean stick and linger on the tongue longer after each sip. Really rich and robust, with the ABV to match. Despite the high ABV, alcohol refrains from peeking through the flavor profile. Mouth feel is a robust, medium-thick dense-soup-like texture. It's evident the beer has a heavy presence, and yet it slips away smoothly. Overall, rich and robust with wonderful dessert-like characteristics without ever becoming cloyingly sweet or sugary.
