Pours black with a finger of khaki foam. Head retention is good. Aroma is cinnamon, pecans, brown sugar, icing and toasty, bready, roasty malts. It smells lightly sweet, with the bready malts soaking up some of the sweetness. Flavor profile is delightful. It opens with pecans and brown sugar, then a dash of icing hits with bready, toasty malts. Net balance is lightly sweet, with the bready malts keeping the whole experience in check. Mouth feel is medium-thick with a very smooth, lightly creamy start that breaks away for a lightly silty texture at the finish. Overall, really incredible, offering up dessert beer without being overly sweet or aggressive.
