Pours a dark brown color with mild transparency, that is to say, some fog to it, but not completely obstructed. One finger of off-white foam up top. Aroma is toffee, caramel, and toasty, bready malts for a subtle, brief semi-sweet smell. Flavor profile has that same semi-sweetness, hitting notes of toffee, caramel, raisins, and toasty and bready malts. While the nose is pretty short and brief, the flavor profile lingers a little longer. Mouth feel has a mild creaminess, with a plush, low-pile level of carbonation. Thickness is medium. Overall, toasty and sweet without being heavy or overbearing. It drinks smooth and small, as its ABV would suggest, while offering up some heavy bready notes.
