Tasted on tap at the brewery ansd taproom on Lovejoy Rd.
Pretty, copper beer with just a hint of haze. Strong bone-colored head that lasts. Served very cold, which impeded the aromas, but I get a bit of bready malt, lightly roasted grain and a hint of herbal hops. The hops seem English, and a bit funky like Fuggles. The flavors track well with the nose. I get light sweet malt overtones and some lightly funky hops flavors. Medium body has light residual sweetness and low carbonation. Hops bitterness is medium to high, which overpowers the sweetness and complements the low alcohol burn. This is an enjoyable American strong ale that lets malt balance or even tip the scales over the hops, as the style should.
