Thank you Gene for this beer. I am the first to review it. The beer is 44 degrees and served in a tulip glass. The pour of the beer created an airy and foamy head with decent retention. The light tannish pink head left no lacing on the glass as it dissipated. The color of the beer is dark salmon color but had orange hues. The beer is clear with a few lazy carbonation bubbles dancing within. For a sour, this is a pretty beer.
Initial aromas in the beer are strawberries, limes, toasted crackers, and peaches. Nosing further in the glass I detect cinnamon, vanilla, sour lemons, a honey-like sweetness 9but does not have the characteristic of honey), and rhubarb.
The flavors in the beer are strawberries, peaches, crackers, sour lemons, vanilla(dominant flavor), baking spices(cannot quite nail down cinnamon), can pick up on the lactose(kind of reminds me of Milkshake IPA), and a sweetness that comes across as simple sugar.
The mouthfeel of the beer is puckering but gentle on the palate.
The body of the beer is medium-minus, medium-high carbonation, and a medium finish.
The beer has all these flavors and it blends fairly seamlessly with harmony. The sour part of the beer is good and not overpowering. The beer reminds me of a pie. I did have a hard time picking up on the graham cracker, it came across as toasted crackers. The alcohol in the beer is deceiving.
