12 oz can from the brewery in Albany, Georgia.

Appearance. Clear reddish-brown body that comes with a good off-white head.

Another exceptionally good beer from this farm to can brewery. This boldly flavored brown ale brings plentiful notes of chocolate, roasted nuts, and dark bread together with light, spicy hops, and toffee.

Appearance: Deep dark brown, khaki color head with poor retention

Aroma: Caramel, roasted malt, toast

Flavor & aftertaste: Roasted malt, nutty, sweet. Moderate bitterness

Mouth-feel: Light bodied. Moderate carbonation. Semi-dry, medium length finish.

Overall: I'm not a big fan of brown ales, but this one is worth seeking out in the category. A good representation of American Brown Ale. Made from Georgia grown local ingredients, including honey and pecans. Has a good balance between roasty malt, nutty and sweet flavors. You can taste the pecans, but they are subtle and not in your face. Enjoyable, well crafted beer from this small brewery in South GA.

Appearance: Pours a clear, dark brown body with a medium-sized, off-white head.

Smell: Dusky dark maltiness, charry toasted breadcrusts, faint brown sugar and a very low, very light hint of herbal hops.

Taste: Toasty-roasty maltiness, a light sprinkling of brown sugar for a bit of sweetness, maybe a dusting of chocolate powder. Minimal hop character, just a touch of dried herbs and a whisper of bitterness. Finishes smooth, malty and near-dry.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Overall: It's no Bells Best Brown, but it's a pretty solid brown (and it's really hard to find any brown these days).

Poured from a can dated 11-13-19 into a snifter with just a wisp or head that dissipates to a few tiny bubbles, which collect at the fringe of the glass. Color is a deep brown and could easily be confused for a porter. Nose is faint with hints of cocoa, roasted nuts and toffee. Fairly light bodied, easy drinking with a sweet finish that brings out the honey. Overall a pleasant, straightforward brown ale.
