Appearance: Clear straw gold, with a slight haze (chill). Head is bright white & thin with poor retention. Highly carbonated with fast rising bubbles.
Aroma: Flora hops, cracker & grainy malts.
Flavor & Aftertaste: Little hop flavor - light floral note. Mostly cracker & grainy malt. No bitterness. Clean, no aftertaste. Medium sweetness.
Palate: Light bodied, very effervescent. No astringency or bitterness in finish is short, crisp & clean.
Overall: Rating this compared to other American Light Lagers. It pours out a nice looking lively, effervescent beer. Straw yellow with a very slight haze. No pretentions, just a light, very easy drinking refreshing lager. Not a lot of flavor; but it's not bland either - with subtle floral notes and cracker/grains from malt. No flaws in this sample. Counted off for lack of head retention; but that is not unusual for the style. Really like the low ABV. This is a great summer beer for lengthy drinking sessions. Good choice if you prefer to drink craft & local vs Big Beer. This brewery grows it's own wheat & barley, so you get some local, South GA terroir. Well done, I'll purchase this again.
