my first from these guys, never even heard of them before this, a cactus apple sour, just a quick kettle sour it seems, although i didnt get the details, its fine beer, cleaner than many, interesting enough, and not too sour to be fairly drinkable, so well done on all the basics here. a stained glass jewel tone almost electric orange tinted pink, bright and distinctive looking, pretty clear too. it smells fruity but almost in a generic way, floral too, strawberry, hibiscus, dragon fruit, guava, fruity pebbles cereal, cheap fruit punch, a hint of springy white wine, very little at all from grain, hops, or yeast, almost just juicy and tart, on the edge of even seeming beery. the flavor is similar, although now a little grain support, real pale and basic, minimal but clean, if this were even a little sloppy it would bad, but its professionally executed to such an extent that its midly intriguing and very drinkable, even without a ton of carbonation. lemon highighting the floral, the acidity tidy and not too high, and the body impossibly light. this is summery, feminine, and weird, but its good for what it is. i need a little more beer character to this though, almost hits like rose wine. curious to try more from these guys next chance i get, hard to get a real sense of what they are all about or what they are capable of from something as niche as this...
