I hit this new brewery after visiting Central Waters.
The brewery is located in downtown Wautoma. I am not overly familiar with this town, but it seemed to be bustling with lots of stores, restaurants, bars, etc. 22 Lakes occupies a freshly painted older storefront on one of the side streets and is just a block or so off the main drag.
As you enter, the small bar is to your left and there are seating areas to your right and straight ahead. There is a nice mix of smaller & lager tables with at least one community table. It looks like there is additional seating upstairs.
They have done a nice job keeping some of the older features of the building intact but have opened up to make it light and airy. There are some TVs, so no problem catching a game. The tanks are visible behind some glass and they serve beers out of smaller vessels that are located behind the bar. Vinyl on the turntable added a nice touch.
The service was friendly and very informative about the brewery and the beers.
I think they had 8 beers on tap while I was there. We had full pours of a porter, a Imperial Stout with raspberries and an IPA . We enjoyed everything we had.
They sell growlers to go and have some limited swag. I did not ask about snacks or if you can bring in food.
I would have no issues returning and wish I could have stayed longer in this inviting little brewery.
