Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a lightly hazed deep copper color with a small head of white foam. The head has a great level of retention, fading slowly and leaving a good sum of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – the aroma is strong of a citrus and pine smell, with lots of grapefruit and piney hop. At the same time there is a lightly roasted bready smell mixed with notes of caramel and toffee. Other very light floral and grainy smells are there as well, rounding it out nicely.
Taste – The taste begins with a slightly grainy and biscuit malt flavor mixed with a decent showing of the pine and grapefruit that were in the nose. The sweetness is light, with some light caramel and orange, but these are quite light with the orange later fading as the taste advance. At the same time the pine gets even more intense, and is joined by a bit of floral and herbal hop and some notes of apricot, leaving one with a crisp and hopped taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body is lighter with a moderate carbonation level.
Overall – A rather nice and easy drinking west coast IPA.

T: floral and piney hops, no alcohol
F: if there is one area this falls short, it is feel. a little thin and flat in the mouth.
O: i admire any brewery slinging a WIPA. tasty beer and I hope to see more breweries trying their hand at this.
