Comes in a standard brown half liter bottle with silver foil around the neck and a silver and gold label in shielf form that reminds me of the Oakland Raiders logo. The word Legenda is printed in big letters across the middle, with Ultra in script below it overlaying the image of two beers dancing in front of a large wooden keg. Rice is an ingredient. Best before 5/30/04, I opened it on 3/27/04.
Pours a clear yellow straw hue under a not quite one finger white head that fades to thick film quickly, but is sustained at that level by a good bit of carbonation coming up from the bottom. No lace. The nose is sweet and grainy, with a slight memory of grape soda. The mouth is light and quite prickly. The taste is thin - there is some grain here, but it is mild, dominant only over the essentially non-existent hops. The finish is watery, and the aftertaste a bit too much like wet newspaper. Despite the description above, this beer is not a drain pour. It is the epitome of easy drinking. Easy yes, enjoyable not really.
