Standard brown half liter bottle with a green and blue label similar to the rest of the Kupecheskoye line. Ingredients conform to the purity law. Best before 8/31/04, I opened it on 4/3/04.
Poured a clear light gold under a one finger snow white head that disappeared in the wink of an eye. There's a touch of hops in the nose, a bit metallic and slightly fruity. The mouth is very prickly and quite light. We start with a mildly malty opening, more barley than adjunct, but still not particularly appealing. I could detect no hops present. There is a touch of sweetness, perhaps cherry. This beer lacks a finish, leaving a bready aftertaste. It's OK, but life is too short to waste time on just OK.
