Wow, what a great looking brew! Comes out a deep burgundy, almost black color under a reddish tan mountain of a head with marvellous contour and superb longevity. The curtain of lace left behind reminded me of a good Guinness. It has a strongly sweet malty nose and a smooth sweet mouth. The initial taste is caramel and malt, with a decent hoppy bite in the follow-up. The aftertaste is a very well balanced mix of malt and hop. Good beer!
