Aroma is fruit/dark fruit, dark malts, chocolate and mild sweetness. The flavor is fruit/dark fruit, chocolate/cocoa, dark malts and a mildly sweet/acidic/dryish finish.

Had on tap. Pitch black pour with a brown cap and lacing. Roasted malt, tons of dark and semi-sweet chocolate, vanilla, and leather in the nose. Taste follows the nose but not as defined in the chocolate, sweet upfront, roasted on the finish. Full bodied and heavy on the palate but thins out somewhat by finish, very smooth. Solid

first beer from this brewery! Insert siren emoji!
L: very thick, black pour yields a tall & foamy light brown head
S: roasted grain, cocoa, vanilla, sweet lactose
T: sweet yet well balanced; dark cocoa, roasted barley, vanilla, creamy lactose, cacao nibs, leathery hop bitterness
F: super smooth, full & creamy, not overly sweet which I appreciate; balanced finish
O: this was really good! I’ve heard great things from this brewery and I look forward to trying more!
