IL Fortunato- "the Lucky One" is a Kolsch style ale with a twist. Brewed with Italian sodas and limoncellos in mind, as well as a touch of passion fruit.

16oz draft pour into a pilsner glass shows a cloudy straw yellow body with a brief cover of rocky white foam and leaves Webby and stepped lacing.

Great passion fruit aroma but that is where my appreciation ends. Flavor is confused, green bean description below is apt. There is a little lemony citrus finish, but mostly the taste is muddled and the almost thick body doesn't help.

Much closer to fruit juice than a kolsch.

Had on tap. Cloudy yellow body with a head cap and lacing. Smell has faint passion fruit atop a bed of grains, lemon zest and a weird must. Taste is a disaster: passion fruit and harsh grains meet and become bitter beets, finished with what tastes like green beans, just awful. Feel is broken about halfway through the sip, watery and weak. Should never have passed QA
