500 ml bottle into a snifter. A 2024 release, had 6/8/24.

Pours a mostly opaque dark brown, with a brief head and a little foamy lacing. Aromas of bourbon, some chocolate and caramel, grapes as it warms, a little banana, a general mead- like aroma. The flavors are a step up: bourbon, caramel, some oak, light chocolate and banana, grapes as it warms. Also has a general mead- like taste. Smooth, a very good fuller body, appropriately carbonated.

Found this a little tough to describe, but it’s really good. Strong bourbon barrels, and the mead barrels have a big presence, too. Great flavors. Best fully warmed.

Had on tap. Pitch black body with brown edges, short lived head. So the use of mead banana barrels instead of any adjuncts is genius, still has plenty of fruity sweetness. Slight maple, chocolate and big bourbon meld with the banana in both smell but especially taste. Smooth and warm with good barrel character for a dessert stout. Innovative, so extra points overall! Avoids the hyper sweetness while still delivering on flavor, more like this please!
