A strong, Belgian ale with lots of complexity, yet surprisingly delicate. Full of fruity strong malt flavors, enhanced by moderate spiciness.

16 ounce can, canned 10-5-22, thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! Served in a tulip glass, the beer pours a somewhat hazy amber/burnt orange color with about an inch and a half light tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. The brew smells like bubblegum, banana, and a bit of dark fruit. I think the taste is pretty much like the aroma, but there's also some clove and candi sugar flavors noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit slick and easy to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. Thought this was a good overall brew, wouldn't mind trying this one fresher in the future as I really liked what I tried when I visited the brewery in the past.

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This solid little brew pours a medium dark
amber tinged brown with a very nice head of white foam that settles to a
thick ring, thin dusty layer, and sports some nice lacing. Nose of subtle banana,
bubblegum, clove, and spicy alcohol phenol notes. Flavors surpass the nose with
dark sweet breaded malts, candy sugar, bubblegum, subtle banana, subtle raisin
and fig notes, faint clove, and coriander touches. Nice mouth feel; medium body,
medium light carbonation, and a lightly warming subtly dry finish.

Overall, a very nice brew

Cheers

Turbid pale brown to dark tan with a moderately thick tan head that retains well and creamy throughout.

Very much like a weizenbock in the Alpenglow vein--high praise, indeed--it's got the banana bread, bubblegum and savory wheat characteristics with notes of clove, cinnamon and slightly bittering wild herbs.

The medium to full body is quite satisfying, but the strong ale part does make its presence known in the warming swallow.
