Standard brown half liter bottle with a gold, white and red label featuring the busts of three vikings. Sugar is listed as an ingredient. Bottled on 7/19/03, I opened it on 9/18/03.
Pours a deep clear orangish gold wiht a few bubbles under a nice firm white head wiht good form and retention. Spots of lace dot the glass. I noted a mild grainy, slightly metallic nose. The mouth was very prickly, with a medium body. The taste starts smooth and grainy, backed by a decent amount of hops. The finish is bitter, but more metallic than flowery. The aftertaste had a pleasant bitterness. Not bad at all, really.
