Barreled in 2021, this award-winning rich, dark lager has notes of chocolate raisin and a voluminous texture.

Served on tap at the brewery in a goblet.
Look: Black, with a small ring of tan foam that lingered and topped very finely-bubbled lacing.
Nose: Coffee cake and raisin.
Mouthfeel: Thick and smooth, adequate carbonation.
Attack: Alcohol rather overwhelms the roast, followed by chocolate and sweet raisin.
Finish: Perhaps a bit of licorice (?), followed by a little bitterness from the roast. Alcohol warms on the way down.
Overall: A full-bodied sipper. The alcohol rather overwhelms the roast, detracting a bit from balance for this style.
