Not many people know that Meckesheim, Germany and Harrison, OH are sister cities. Northern Row and Schumi's Mecksebräu came together in 2023 to create this one of a kind festbier based on Thomas Schumacher's original recipe. We appropriately named it "Schwester" which means sister in German. Prost!

12 ounce can, packaged on 7/23/25 stamped on the bottom part of the label. Thanks again to Brutaltruth for this brew! Served in a dimpled mug, the beer pours a mostly clear light gold color with about an inch off-white head. Head retention and lacing are both good. Aroma is nice but subtle, the brew smells like bready malt, floral hops and a bit of citrus. The taste has more of a kick, it's similar to the aroma with bready malt, lemony citrus, floral hop and grassy flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's smooth and easy to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. Thought this was an enjoyable Festbier, would like to try it again in the future!

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This solid little brew pours a clear pale golden with a
nice head of white foam that subsides to a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and sports some
decent lacing. Nose of floral hops, caramel, and light breaded malts. Flavors follow the
nose with light caramel, floral hops, subtle peach nuances, and breaded malts. Mouth
feel is medium, medium carbonation, and a balanced malt and hop driven finish.

Overall ,a solid little brew

Cheers

6 pack from Jungle Jim's
Clear pale golden color with a nice fluffy head, moderate retention.
Aroma of green hops and biscuit malts, taste follows suit.
Pleasantly soft on the palate with a slightly bittersweet finish.
Good one!

12oz can PKGD 08/13/24 poured into a mug at fridge temp 5.6% ABV. The beer pours bright, pale golden yellow with off white head. The head recedes to an uneven ring and single layer of bubbles. Slight lacing. The aroma is mild with pils malt and a hint of fruity & floral hops. The taste is semisweet pils malt with a toasted bread flavor and firm, grassy hop flavor and bitterness. The feel is thin bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Cleanly lagered. Overall, excellent festbier.
